Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and [Your company legal name, e.g. Verity Labs LLC] for your use of Verity. By creating an account or using Verity, you agree to them, to the Privacy Policy, and to the Acceptable Use rules. If you don't agree, don't use Verity.
1. Who can use Verity
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. If you use Verity for an organization, you confirm you're authorized to accept these terms for it.
2. Your account
Keep access to your email secure; anyone with it can sign in. You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you think it's been misused.
3. Recording other people
Recording laws differ by place, and some require everyone's consent. Before every recording or upload you must confirm that everyone in it knows and has agreed, and that recording is lawful where each person is. You are solely responsible for meeting these laws. We provide the consent prompt as a reminder, not as legal advice. See Recording Consent.
4. AI results
Transcripts, fact checks, contradiction alerts, question tracking, interruption counts, and Verity Assist rephrasings are produced automatically and can be wrong or incomplete. They are not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice, and they aren't judgments about anyone's honesty or character. Check the sources and use your own judgment before relying on them. See the AI and Fact-Check Disclaimer.
5. Your content
You own what you record and upload (“your content”). You give us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content only to provide Verity to you, including sending it to our service providers. You confirm you have the rights and consents needed for your content.
6. Acceptable use
Don't misuse Verity. The Acceptable Use rules list what's not allowed. We may suspend or remove accounts or content that break them.
7. Plans, payments, and cancellation
Verity has a free plan with usage limits. Paid plans, when offered, are billed in advance for the period you choose and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime; you keep paid features until the end of the period you paid for. [Refund policy: to be decided with counsel.] We'll give notice before changing prices for your plan.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using Verity and delete your account at any time in Profile → Privacy & data. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or to protect the service or others. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as 9–12) continue after your account ends.
9. Disclaimers
Verity is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, [Your company legal name, e.g. Verity Labs LLC] won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to Verity is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50.
11. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify [Your company legal name, e.g. Verity Labs LLC] against claims arising from your content, your recordings (including any failure to get consent), or your breach of these terms or the law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [State, e.g. Georgia], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. [Dispute resolution, venue, and any arbitration terms: to be decided with counsel.]
13. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Verity after that means you accept the new terms.
